Archive & Trash
Jobs get messy. Some never finish. Some you want out of the way but don't want to lose. Some you want gone for good. Tradie handles each case with a pattern you already know from iPhone Photos.
The three states a job can be in
- Active— visible on the Jobs dashboard. This is the default view. Every job you're working on sits here.
- Archived— hidden from the Active list but fully preserved. Good for "done but keep around," old quotes that didn't convert, seasonal work that'll come back next year.
- Recently Deleted — soft-deleted, restorable, but one step away from permanent removal. Good for genuine mistakes.
How to archive a job
On the Jobs dashboard, find the job row, open the row action menu (⋯), and choose Archive. You'll get a toast with an Undo link — tap it within 10 seconds to revert.
How to delete a job
Same action menu (⋯), choose Delete. The job moves to Recently Deleted. Same Undo toast. From the Recently Deleted view you can either Restore (back to Active) or Delete forever (gone, cascade removes videos, transcripts, parts).
Empty Trash
From the Recently Deleted view, tap Empty Trashto permanently delete every job in the bin. You'll get a confirmation dialog with the count. There's no auto-purge — Tradie keeps deleted jobs indefinitely until you empty the trash yourself.
Switching views
The segmented switcher at the top of the dashboard toggles between Active, Archived, and Recently Deleted. Each view has its own action menu tailored to where you are — Archived shows Unarchive + Delete; Recently Deleted shows Restore + Delete forever.
Heads up:Delete forever cannot be undone. The confirmation dialog shows the job title and customer so you can double-check what you're removing.
